  • Device Information: Browser type, IP address (for security purposes)

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information solely to:

  • Provide and maintain your CynoFile account
  • Process your subscription payments
  • Send essential service communications (password resets, billing notices)
  • Provide customer support
  • Ensure platform security and prevent fraud
  • Comply with legal obligations

3. Your Training Data Is Private

We do not access, view, or use your private training data. Your dog's information, training sessions, progress notes, and videos are visible only to you. We will never:

  • View your private training content
  • Share your data with other users
  • Use your data for research or analysis
  • Sell or provide your data to third parties
  • Use your content for marketing purposes

4. Data Sharing

We share your information only in these limited circumstances:

  • Payment Processing: Basic information with Stripe to process payments
  • Service Providers: Trusted third-party services that help operate our platform (e.g., hosting, email delivery) under strict confidentiality agreements
  • Legal Requirements: If required by law or valid legal process
  • Business Transfers: In connection with a merger, sale, or acquisition (your data would remain protected under this policy)
  • With Your Consent: Only when you explicitly authorize sharing

We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.

Legal Basis for Processing: We process your data based on: (1) your consent, (2) performance of our contract with you, (3) compliance with legal obligations, or (4) our legitimate interests in operating our service.

7. Data Retention

We retain your data as long as your account is active. If you cancel your subscription:

  • Your data is maintained for 30 days in case you wish to reactivate
  • After 30 days, your data is automatically deleted
  • You may request immediate deletion at any time

8. International Data Transfers

Your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States where our servers are located. If you are located outside the United States, please be aware that data protection laws may differ. By using CynoFile, you consent to the transfer and processing of your information in the United States.

9. Children's Privacy

CynoFile requires users to be at least 18 years old or have guardian consent as outlined in our Terms of Service. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

10. Do Not Track

CynoFile does not currently respond to "Do Not Track" browser signals as we do not track users across third-party websites.

11. Changes to This Policy

We will notify you of any material changes to this Privacy Policy via email or a prominent notice on the Service at least 30 days before the changes take effect.
